The 1991 Collection
In 1991, Galoob no longer used an overall numbering system to identify the mainline releases. Instead, individual series were released with separate numbering. Since the ULTRAFAST series best matches a yearly release, these collections follow the more traditional numbering sequence, and are presented first. 11 sets are indicated on the blister insert, but only four are known to have been released. Each set was a re-release of a prior 1990 set. ('91 #1 = Fall '90 #5; '91 #2 = '90 #12; '91 #5 = '90 #19, and '91 #11 = '90 #17.) Further releases for 1991 (excepting for those in the Themes section) are found below both systematically for flow and alphabetically. Card-backs are found with either the 1990 or 1991 style below. 1991 collections typically include a bonus license plate on the front of the card.

1991 Multi-pack Collections
The famed European Pack was released in 1991. Only 5 sealed sets are known making for one of the most recognized items for collectors. It includes 1990 collections 52 and 54 as a re-release. However, 1990 #52 and #54 were not actually released in 1990 it appears which implies this is the only source for finding these popular vehicles. Very little is known about the Super Value Collection since this is the only known packaging for it. Presumably, it was a promotional release comprised of 3 different sets. The back of the card matches the routine 1991 release, but the upper left corner on the front matches 1990 style.

1991 Speed Boats, Cool Copters, Famous Planes, and Luxury Limos
This grouping is identified in this odd order on the bottom of the blister inserts. Two additional collections are indicated, but appear to not be released. (Presidential Collection #1 which was part of the Luxury Limos series, and Weekend Campers Collection #1 which may simply be an Adventures collection.) Interestingly, the Famous Planes series appears to also be released as transitional to 1992 with a bonus vehicle added from Classy Chromers #1. A unique Spanish Famosa Luxury Limos collection is known that is on a '92 Neon Beach card and blister insert oddly.

1991 Adventures Collections
This fun series included vehicles and a mini playset. Additionally, a variation for collection #3 for Desert Storm was released which can be very challenging to find. Foreign collections are known from France, Spain, Italy, and Canada. No bonus license plate was included for the set from Spain. Note: 4 collections were released/planned for the first seasonal release, but this was reduced to only 3 with "Farm Adventure" removed for the second seasonal release of the year.

1991 Classy Chromers Collections
Classy Chromers are a very popular series with releases in various countries including at least Germany/Austria/Switzerland and Canada per the sets with packaging variations. In addition, spring and fall have differences in packaging as well. (Spring card-backs have the 1990 design and no text on top of the blister insert. Fall releases have the standard 1991 card-back and collection # details on the blister insert. Some of the spring release sets have white lettering as well for the "CLASSY CHROMERS" logo.) Collection #2 was not released in the USA and has a much lower production. Less than 5 sealed sets are known. A full run of all 6 sets from Canada are imaged here which is the only known complete set and verifies #2 was released in this region as well.

1991 Collector's Series Collections
These were a promotional offering in 1991 including 3 vehicles from either 1989 or 1990 included. The series is not numbered, so impossible to know how many variations were released.

1991 Drivers Collections
For the first time, individual people figures were added making this series an interesting change from prior releases. The 1990 card-back style is identified by the blank top of the blister insert, and the 1991 card-back style includes text related to the collection number in the series. Oddly, for Spain, Drivers collection #3 was found on a 1992 Drivers card. A #4 collection on a #2 card is a known error for the series making for a humorous combination of naming and vehicle subject matter. Rare transitional collections for late 1991 are known as well including a bonus Chromer vehicle similar to the Famous Planes and X-Rays series.

1991 Imposters Collections
This series was only released in 1991 and is very popular. Unfortunately, the pictures here suffer from a flashback, so these will be replaced eventually.

1991 Race Team Collections
This unreleased series is extremely rare with two different collections planned. The sealed collection pictured is the only one known with no loose vehicles located to date. The second planned set (Ormsby Racing) has only been found loose as decos. Pictures of that collection will be added soon.

1991 Ship in a Bottle Collections
12 different collections were released for this interesting series. Below is the full series in Italian, but additional sets from Australia, USA, and France are also included. French sets are found with and without a large white circle sticker on the card front. The USS New Jersey may be more difficult to locate than others.

1991 Super Bikes Collections
There were 2 collections for the Super Bikes series released in 1991. The Canadian version is very similar to the USA release with just French text added.

1991 Super Carriers Collections
The Super Carrier series consisted of a 1990-released vehicle and a large-size transport acting as a mini-playset. Some of the vehicles found in these collections were unique to them, so they can command a solid premium from collectors when recognized at auction. Two Spanish packaging variations are included below as well as three pre-production packaging sets. Notice the square un-cut cards and modified vehicles/orientation.

1991 X-Rays Collections
Four collections were released for this series in 1991. However, collection #3 appears to not have been sold in the USA making it far lower production. 1990 card backs for spring are easily identified compared to the 1991 card backs for fall with text on the top of the blister insert. Collections from Spain, Canada, Germany/Austria/Switzerland, and Argentina are depicted below with evident packaging differences. Similar to the Famous Planes series, transitional sets are also known for this series with a free bonus car from Classy Chromers #1 added to the card.
