Military Micro Machines (1999 with GI Joe)
In 1999, 5-bonus vehicles were introduced including civilian cars or an extra military collection (which is a rare regional-only variation packaging style). GI Joe and the corresponding "Military" non-USA collections were released in 1999 expanding the line further. Most 1999 sets still indicate Galoob, but Hasbro had actual ownership of the line.

1999 Military Collections
For the Galoob to Hasbro transition year, the most amount of Military series Micro Machines were released including 29 collections, 2 Action Packs, bonus military packs, and bonus civilian cars. Some of the bonus vehicles are unique to these releases and reviewing those shown here and those in the 1999 civilian section will assist in determining what was released. All the sets known with bonus vehicles are presented here. The pre-production sets shown used hand-written numbering on white blister inserts on 1997 Galoob cards for the standard configuration and 1999 cards for the bonus configuration. The Action Packs are incredibly rare with only a few examples known. They appear to not have been released in the USA.

1999 GI Joe/Military Collections
Outside the USA, the newly introduced GI Joe collections included identical vehicles, but with "Military" packaging. Below, the 9 collections released are arranged in alphabetical order with GI Joe and the associated Military sets positioned next to one another where applicable for clarity. In order, the collections are called: Air Barrage, Attack at Thunder Canyon, Battle at Bazooka Bunker, Battle at Checkpoint Bridge, Combined Arms Attack, Counterattack at Spitfire Forest, Crossing at Turkey Creek, Recon the Comm Towers, and Thunder Canyon Breakthrough. Unfortunately, some of the collections below are errors which may cause confusion. The "Military" collection for Attack at Thunder Canyon is on a Counterattack at Spitfire Forest card. And the Battle at Bazooka Bunker "Military" collection is on a Battle at Checkpoint Bridge card. Finally, the GI Joe version of Combined Arms Attack is on an Attack at Thunder Canyon card. The two collections of the "VS." sub-series are included below both as GI Joe packaging versions. Additionally, the "Secret Mission" series collections are also included with 1 each of the GI Joe and "Military" packaging styles. This 1999 release contains very difficult vehicles to locate, especially from the "Secret Mission" series.

1999 Military Target-Exclusive Candy Cane Collections
The 1999 Target Candy Cane exclusive offering extended to the Military vehicles as well. Four different vehicles are believed to have been released for this series, albeit, re-released vehicles. The packaging pre-production sets below used cut-down cards and photocopied art to build the blister/vehicle orientations and are presumed to have been used for positioning approval. It is unknown if all the configurations planned in the pre-production sets were released.
