Highway Warriors
This unusual series was another expansion of the Galoob Micro Machines line in 1989 where warrior vehicles could be placed overtop other vehicles found in the collections. Since everything "Micro Machines" was selling in 1989, these took off as well, but the series was short-lived with 1990 the final release.

1989 Highway Warriors Collections
This unusual series included 6 different collections and the package contents varied drastically from the catalog images. Prototypes and variants are shown below that were used to recreate the images presented in the 1989 catalog. The series was released in France as well with significant packaging differences. A Canadian set is added as well showing how the French text was added. The "05" variation is extremely difficult to find, but a sealed example exists shown below.

The 1990 Highway Warriors series included a re-release of the 1989 set of 6 collections as #1 through #6, but in different numbering order from 1989. However, while collections #7 through #12 were released in the USA, collections #1 through #6 were not for 1990. As a result, 1990 collections #1 through #6 are incredibly rare and only available from countries such as Spain, UK, and France per the sets shown below.
