Military Micro Machines (2001 - 2003)
While Hasbro did continue the military releases after Galoob, far fewer options were available with 2002 considered the rarest, and only GI Joe collections released in 2003 were available in the USA. (Civilian mainline collections from 2001 through 2003 included additional military sets, but were not separated out as a theme, so they are not found in this military section of the site.) Re-used castings are known (See the Crossovers and Customs theme section under the Galoob heading), and some of those are presented here since the year of release is unknown. They are unlikely to be official Hasbro releases, but are highly sought out by Micro Machines collectors.

2001 Military Collections
Four Military collections were released in 2001 (not in the USA) consisting of 3 vehicles each and 2 figures. Two multi-pack collections were released separately in the spring and fall based on the green Hasbro Standard sample tags affixed. They are collectively known as the Ultra Combat sets. An error of collection #2 on a #1 card is shown below. An additional multi-vehicle pack called the Secret Deployment collection was also released in 2001 containing vehicles related to the mainline release for 2001.

2002 Military Collections
Military collections from 2002 are the rarest of all military pieces with an incredible following by collectors. Loose pieces can sell for hundreds of dollars alone! Four collections were released which were termed "Good Team #1 & #2" and "Evil Team #1 & #2" per the Hasbro green sample tags, but the actual sets were not labeled. Below, all 4 collections are found sealed on 2001 pre-production cards showing the contents. (See the 2001 section above which shows the normal 2001 set contents on this same card design.) Three of the four sets are shown as well on the correct 2002 cards. Unfortunately, Evil Team #1 (Gray/Red/Black) I wasn't able to get fast enough when these showed up on the market, so the collection is incomplete, but a single sealed 2002 is known to exist in China. 2002 sets are believed to have been sold in the Scandinavian region and other nearby areas based on the very few number of loose pieces showing up over the years.

2003 GI Joe Collections
These GI Joe sets were released in 2003 with a 2002 copyright and sold in the USA only. There were 2 smaller packs and 2 larger packs released. The card back artwork does not match the vehicles properly. These collections can be incredibly difficult to find sealed and the vehicles are each unique to this release making them highly collectible. An error collection including vehicles from Freedom Strike and Desert Lightning in the same collection is shown below.

Unknown Military Collections
Various military vehicles have been found in the colors shown below, but these appear to be made from original casts and not official Hasbro releases. The MicroWeaponry sets are a new addition to this section and believed to have been sold at dollar stores in the USA/Canada, but are not considered official Micro Machines releases by collectors. However, they are highly desireable and will command attention at auction. (These are also shown in the Galoob Crossover and Customs section with further detail.)
